Dragon Football uses AI in three specific ways. We are upfront about each.
Data extraction
Our Companies House iXBRL parser is deterministic code, not a language model. It reads structured XBRL tags from filed accounts and pulls out the figures (wages, turnover, P&L, debt, etc). The output is the same numbers a human reading the same filing would extract. No AI inference is involved in those numbers.
Headline aggregation
Our transfer rumours page pulls RSS headlines from major UK football publishers, filters them with deterministic rules to remove non-transfer items (newsletter signups, TV schedules, match previews, etc), and lists what’s left. The headline shown is exactly what the publisher published. We link out to the original story rather than republish body text.
Editorial assistance
Where AI is used in editorial writing (summaries, methodology copy, occasional analysis pieces) the page or article carries a disclosure. The default is to write without AI assistance.
What we don’t do
- We don’t auto-generate articles and publish them under a human byline.
- We don’t paraphrase other publishers’ stories to evade copyright.
- We don’t auto-fill quotes or fabricate attributions.
- We don’t use AI to invent stats or back-fill missing data without labelling it as modelled.
