AFC Wimbledon and Bradford City shared a 1-1 draw on Saturday afternoon, a result that felt fair given how evenly the contest developed across ninety minutes.

Bradford made the brighter start. James Tilley put them ahead in the eleventh minute, and for much of the first half the visitors looked composed and purposeful. Myles Hippolyte and Marcus Browne added energy in the closing stages of the half, though neither could extend the lead before the break.

Wimbledon came out with more urgency after the interval. Aden Baldwin levelled almost immediately after the restart, finishing from close range to settle the home side and shift the momentum. Bobby Pointon was also introduced around the same time and Wimbledon began to press higher, forcing Bradford onto the back foot.

Stephen Humphrys tested Wimbledon twice, first in the 63rd minute and again on 76 minutes, while Ethan Wheatley came on in search of a Bradford winner. Mathew Stevens entered shortly after to offer Wimbledon an additional attacking outlet.

Omar Bugiel and Antwoine Hackford both saw late action for their respective sides as both managers chased a winning goal in the final ten minutes. Neither found it.

Bradford will feel they squandered a position of relative strength, having led for much of the afternoon. Wimbledon showed enough resilience to earn a point, though they will know a more clinical second half could have brought all three.
