Brackley Town beat Woking 4-1 on Saturday afternoon, a result that reflected the home side's growing authority over a match that shifted decisively in the second half.

The first half offered little indication of what was to come. Woking appeared organised and composed, and the teams went in level at the break. That changed almost immediately after the restart, when Jack Price scored within a minute of the second half beginning, and Aidan Elliott-Wheeler added a second just past the hour to give Brackley a lead they would not relinquish.

Woking made a cluster of substitutions around the 62nd minute, bringing on J. Forster-Caskey and Harry Beautyman in an attempt to alter the game's direction. The changes produced little immediate effect. Oliver Sanderson and Connor Hall came on for Brackley shortly after, and the home side continued to press with confidence rather than caution.

Joseph Gbode, introduced late, made an immediate impression. He was on the pitch when Elliott-Wheeler scored his second of the afternoon on 89 minutes, and Gbode added a fourth himself a minute later to complete the scoring. Jack Turner had also seen his name on the teamsheet for the closing stages.

For Woking, Kian Pennant came on in the 84th minute but the deficit was already too wide to address. Brackley were the better side from the moment Price scored, and the final margin was a fair reflection of that superiority.
