Blackpool beat Port Vale 2-0 on Tuesday evening, a result that looked comfortable on the scoreboard but required a fair degree of patience before the hosts could consider it settled.

Dajaune Brown gave Blackpool the lead inside two minutes, a sharp opener that suggested the evening might unfold quickly in the home side's favour. Port Vale, however, steadied themselves and made enough of the first half to keep the contest alive into the interval.

The second half changed the tone. Niall Ennis extended Blackpool's advantage seconds after the restart, catching Vale's defence poorly organised and finishing with composure. That goal shifted the balance decisively. Port Vale pushed forward but lacked the cutting edge to threaten seriously, and Blackpool's defensive shape held firm throughout.

The closing stages brought a flurry of substitutions from both benches. Leighton Clarkson, CJ Hamilton, Karoy Anderson, and Ben Garrity all came on for Blackpool as the management looked to manage the game rather than chase anything further. Vale introduced Andre Gray, Ashley Fletcher, and George Hall in search of a way back in, but none of them found space to operate with any real effect.

Tyler Magloire's late booking for Blackpool summed up the final minutes, which had become increasingly fractious without ever threatening to produce a meaningful change in the result. Blackpool close out a deserved victory and the three points.
