Morecambe beat Carlisle United 2-1 in a contest that shifted decisively in the home side's favour during a frantic spell either side of half-time.
Carlisle had looked composed enough in the early stages, with Archie Davies offering a threat from wide areas after 24 minutes, and Gwion Edwards adding further menace when he made his presence felt just past the half-hour.
