Liverpool and Fulham shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw at Anfield on Saturday afternoon, a result that will frustrate the home side more given their aspirations at this stage of the season.

Fulham were the more composed side through much of the first half, with Rio Ngumoha, introduced at the 36-minute mark, bringing energy to their attacking play. Liverpool responded, and Mohamed Salah's arrival on 40 minutes was the expected attempt to shift the dynamic before the break.

The half-time whistle prompted a flurry of changes on both sides. Ryan Gravenberch made way, with Saša Lukić and Emile Smith Rowe entering for Fulham almost simultaneously. The reshuffling disrupted any rhythm Liverpool had begun to find, and the second half became a disjointed affair.

Alexis Mac Allister was withdrawn on 68 minutes, and within sixty seconds the game had produced its most concentrated sequence of movement, with Joe Gomez, Alexander Isak, and Ryan Sessegnon all introduced across both teams. The match remained goalless through all of it.

Raúl Jiménez and Samuel Chukwueze came on together at 80 minutes for Fulham, suggesting Marco Silva wanted a late thrust rather than consolidation. Trey Nyoni entered in the final minute for Liverpool, but neither side found a way through.

A blank scoresheet, numerous personnel changes, and little clarity about what either manager had learned. Fulham will take the point more readily.
