Wolverhampton Wanderers 1 Liverpool 3 was settled largely by Liverpool's authority in the first hour, before Wolves gave the scoreline a more competitive look in the closing stages.

Ryan Gravenberch opened the scoring on 22 minutes, finishing with the composure that has defined his season. Liverpool moved the ball with purpose throughout the first half and Curtis Jones extended the advantage immediately after the interval, converting to make it two shortly after the restart.

Wolves responded with intent once their substitutions landed. Tolu Arokodare and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde came on at the hour mark, and Yerson Mosquera followed a minute later as Gary O'Neil sought a foothold. The home side began to press higher, and Rodrigo Gomes grew into the contest, eventually pulling one back with a strike on 78 minutes after João Gomes had sharpened the atmosphere around Molineux at 69 minutes.

Liverpool, however, had already moved out of reach. Joe Gomez headed in from a set piece on 72 minutes to make it three, and Mohamed Salah added a late fourth on 83 minutes, killing any realistic hope of a Wolves recovery. Rio Ngumoha and Andrew Robertson were introduced in the 65th minute as Liverpool managed their resources.

Santiago Bueno and André were late replacements for Wolves as the match wound down. Liverpool remain in strong form. Wolves have genuine problems to address.
