Brentford left the Vitality Stadium with a comfortable 3-0 victory on Tuesday evening, a result that fairly reflected their control over a Bournemouth side who offered little in the way of meaningful threat throughout.

The visitors took the lead in the 21st minute when Kristoffer Ajer converted, and from that point Brentford dictated the tempo. Bournemouth struggled to build through midfield and rarely tested the Brentford goalkeeper with anything of consequence.

The game was effectively settled within the opening quarter of the second half. Mathias Jensen was substituted off in the 60th minute, a change that briefly disrupted Brentford's rhythm, but Yegor Yarmolyuk arrived off the bench and scored within two minutes to double the advantage. Amine Adli added a third in the 74th minute, at which point the home crowd began to thin.

The closing stages brought a series of substitutions on both sides. Eli Kroupi came on for Bournemouth at 74 minutes, Enes Ünal followed six minutes later, and there were late changes involving Keane Lewis-Potter and Tyler Adams for Brentford. Marcus Tavernier entered for the hosts in the 90th minute, though by then the contest had long been decided.

Bournemouth have now gone four home matches without a win. Brentford, by contrast, carried discipline and purpose through all four lines and punished the home side at every opportunity the game offered them.
