Blackburn Rovers drew 2-2 with Bristol City at Ewood Park on Tuesday evening in a Championship fixture that produced ten goals and enough late drama to test the nerves of both sets of supporters.

Bristol City made the stronger start. Yuki Ohashi put the visitors ahead inside six minutes, and though Emil Riis equalised for Rovers in the 17th, the momentum shifted back to City before half-time. Ryoya Morishita restored Bristol's advantage on 30 minutes, Ohashi added a second for the away side on 42, and Sam Morsy pulled one back for Blackburn right on the stroke of half-time to send the teams in level at 2-2.

The second half brought wholesale change. Both managers made double substitutions at the interval, with Moussa Baradji and Neto Borges introduced for Bristol, while Blackburn responded in kind. Sinclair Armstrong and Delano Burgzorg came on for Rovers and immediately added pace to the home attack.

Adam Randell entered the fray for Blackburn at 59 minutes, the same moment Burgzorg was introduced, and Andri Gudjohnsen and Dion De Neve swapped places at the hour mark. Neither side could find a winner despite sustained pressure from both ends.

Oladapo Afolayan tested the Bristol defence late on, and Max Bird fired wide in stoppage time. Jason Knight had Bristol's best final chance but could not convert.

The point leaves both clubs mid-table with work still to do in the second half of the season.
