Bradford City drew 1-1 with Leyton Orient at Valley Parade on Saturday afternoon, a result that felt like a fair reflection of a match that grew increasingly fractious as the second half wore on.

Orient controlled the opening exchanges and took a deserved lead through Josh Koroma in the 26th minute. Bradford struggled to impose themselves before the break, with Leyton Orient's shape frustrating the hosts and limiting their attempts on goal.

The second half brought a different game entirely. Both benches were busy from the mid-point onwards, with a wave of substitutions between the 59th and 75th minutes reshaping the contest on both sides. Matthew Pennington and Curtis Tilt came on for Bradford in quick succession, and Paul Mullin's introduction added a physical dimension that had been absent. Antoni Sarcevic equalised for Bradford in the 79th minute, levelling a match that had seemed to be slipping away from the hosts.

Sarcevic then had an effort late on and Mullin tested Orient's defence in the 87th minute, but neither side could find a winner. The yellow cards that accumulated across both squads told a story of a game that lost its earlier composure as the pressure mounted.

Bradford will feel they recovered well from a poor first half. Orient, who had looked the more assured side for long stretches, will regret not making their dominance count before the interval.
