How many Premier League managers have been sacked this season?

10 Premier League managers were dismissed in the 2025/26 season. Nottingham Forest dismissed three managers, Tottenham and Chelsea two each, with one each at Wolves, Manchester United and West Ham.

The count covers dismissals only, so resignations and end-of-contract exits sit outside it. It's maintained by the desk and updated when a departure is confirmed by the club.

How we calculate this

Pressure is a 0-100 score combining four signals:

  • Form — last 6 results, recency-weighted. A defeat costs more than a draw. Recent matches count more than older ones. Maximum 40 points.
  • Position — bottom 3 in any league adds 30 points, bottom 6 adds 20, lower mid-table adds 10.
  • Goal difference — significantly negative GD adds up to 12 points (a sustained problem, not a freak result).
  • Recent margin — a heavy defeat in the last match adds up to 20 points (the "fan protest after a 4-0" factor).

The algorithm doesn't pretend to predict sackings. It surfaces where the pressure is highest based on observable football outcomes. Owner statements, dressing-room politics, and contract terms aren't included. They never are in any model.
