How it works
For every English football club we have iXBRL or PDF-parsed accounts, we extract the "staff costs" line from each filed year and plot it across time. A single club's points appear as one line in the chart.
"Staff costs" in UK football accounting includes wages, social security (employer NI) and pension costs. It's the closest publicly-filed measure to total player + staff compensation.
